Abstract

TRAZZI, Patricia Silveira da Silva  and  OLIVEIRA, Ivone Martins de. PHOTOSYNTHESIS AND CELL-BREATHING CONCEPTS' APPROPRIATION PROCESS BY STUDENTS IN BIOLOGY CLASS. Ens. Pesqui. Educ. Ciênc. [online]. 2016, vol.18, n.1, pp.85-106. ISSN 1983-2117.  https://doi.org/10.1590/1983-21172016180105.

This research's main goal is to analyze appropriation process aspects of photosynthesis and cell-breathing concepts in biology classes by freshman high school students. The theory-method matrix used is the historic-cultural. Methodology was qualitative/collaborative and presented as data production instrument the registers done daily by the teachers during the formative meetings, class planning made collectively and classroom observation. Classes' video recordings and written registers made by students were also taken into account. The analysis points that, from intentional mediated action made by the teacher, clues of scientific concepts appropriation emerged with distinct levels of generalization and conceptual integration.
