CARVALHO, Vanessa Brasil de et al. Science and TV: a research about rede Record’s broadcast. Ens. Pesqui. Educ. Ciênc. [online]. 2017, vol.19, pp.425-442. ISSN 1983-2117.  https://doi.org/10.1590/1983-21172017190120.

In this paper, we present a content analysis of the content broadcast by TV Record, aiming to exam programs related to science. We have worked with a sample of two constructed weeks, representing six months (June to November 2013). We have identified 847 science programs of different TV categories, representing 7.0% of watched programming. Advertisings were the television category more recurrently associated with science in our sample. Subjects related to Life Sciences and Medicine and Health were the most frequent, especially in advertising. There was reduced presence of the figure of scientists: of the total of the material analyzed, only 3.5 % showed scientists, most of them foreigners. Of the 38 scientists, only five were women.
