Abstract

MARANDINO, MARTHA  and  LAURINI, CAROLINA. LA COMPRENSIÓN DE LA BIODIVERSIDAD POR MEDIO DE DIORAMAS DE MUSEOS DE LA ZOOLOGÍA: UN ESTUDIO CON PÚBLICO ADULTO EN BRASIL Y DINAMARCA. Ens. Pesqui. Educ. One of biggest challenges of museum education is to expose biodiversity, promoting their understanding. In this research, we study what the adult audience understands about biodiversity while visiting dioramas in two zoological museums, one national (Brazilian) and one international (Danish). We analyzed data gathered with four subjects through the thinking aloud method, followed by interview using the categories of biodiversity approaches. As results we have found an emphasis on the species level of organization and the absence of the genetic level and the human approach, what let us reflect about the potential and the limits of the comprehension of biodiversity through dioramas in museums.

Keywords : Biodiversity; Dioramas; Audience research.
