This article aims to analyze the awareness of educators participating in contexts with Freire-CTS assumptions, considering their constitution as social and educational subjects. The research is based on the principles of Paulo Freire's critical-conscious teaching and the integrative Science-Technology-Society (STS) approach. A qualitative methodology is adopted, focused on the Freire-STS theme, through the study of reports and speeches from educators involved in pedagogical practices and investigations of conceptions and perceptions in the field of science teaching that incorporate these assumptions. The analysis revealed various aspects indicating the development of reflections, dialogue, and critical thinking within a process of awareness. The results showed different outcomes among the educators, sometimes remaining inert in the face of the proposed reflections, and at other times undergoing moments of self-reflection, questioning, and transformations of their status quo within the social and educational spheres.
