Abstract

VALMORBIDA, Itacir Carlos  and  SILVA, Maurício Roberto da. Work and political formation of the basic education teachers. Eccos Rev. Cient. [online]. 2018, n.45, pp.313-328.  Epub June 07, 2019. ISSN 1983-9278.  https://doi.org/10.5585/eccos.n45.7468.

The article aims to present and reflect on some theoretical-practical elements that characterize the political bases of teachers of the state schools of Chapecó (SC). The text is based on the research (master’s dissertation) of the author, whose motivating element was the challenge of the triple militancy (school, union and college). The triple militancy proposes a reflection on the main ideas about politics, political formation and class consciousness related by the investigated teachers. Methodologically, the exploratory case study is used, aiming to problematize the theoretical-methodological and theoretical-empirical elements, in order to think and rethink the political formation of teachers, as organic intellectuals. In this line, the text is guided by some categories of historical-dialectical materialism, such as praxis, which is flanked by the concepts of critical pedagogy, organic intellectual, political formation, militancy and active resistance. The provisional and propositional conclusions, due to the current misconduct of Brazilian politics (antipolitics), point to the challenges to the permanent political formation of teachers, of a critical-surpassing nature centered on class consciousness and collective struggles, whose ontological, epistemological and political-pedagogical aim must be on the inseparable unity between theory and practice.
