Abstract

HERNANDEZ, Walfredo González. Informatics intuition: Present condition in Information-Technology Engineering´s career of Matanzas’s University. Eccos Rev. Cient. [online]. 2018, n.46, pp.191-213.  Epub June 10, 2019. ISSN 1983-9278.  https://doi.org/10.5585/eccos.n46.8040.

Intuition is one of the key processes in the development of creativity and computer science is not exempt from it. Various psychological currents have studied this process from different angles and in this article the analysis will be made from the three most current: cognitivism, humanism and the historical-cultural approach. In the article an analysis of the different definitions about creativity in the current literature is carried out in order to arrive at a definition taking into account the theory of subjectivity that is part of the cultural historical approach. Subsequently, the computer activity is addressed and the concept of intuition is defined in it, declaring its dimensions and indicators based on the assumed theoretical approach. Direct observations, surveys to the students and an observation to classes are applied to detect the situation in which the intuition is in the career of Computer Engineering. Finally, a triangulation of the data obtained is carried out to compare the results obtained in the different methods applied and allow to establish regularities in terms of intuition in computer science.
