Abstract

RAMOS, Samantha  and  MOREIRA, José António. DIGITAL TECHNOLOGIES ASSOCIATED WITH SOCIO-CULTURAL PRAXIS: ANALYSIS OF EDUCATIONAL PRACTICES IN BRAZIL AND PORTUGAL. Eccos Rev. Cient. [online]. 2023, n.65, e24647.  Epub Feb 16, 2024. ISSN 1983-9278.  https://doi.org/10.5585/eccos.n65.24647.

Virtual environments and the potential of digital technologies have brought new and challenging issues to the school community. One of the main challenges is the need to design new learning scenarios using digital technologies and virtual environments. Considering studies carried out in Brazil and Portugal, this investigation analyzes educational practices designed and implemented in school contexts that involve these virtual environments and digital technologies associated with sociocultural praxis based on the concepts of curriculum de-encapsulation, social activities as a basis for teaching, expansive learning and professional and life skills. From a qualitative approach, we identified that the educational practices involve pedagogical guidelines whose activities, in scenarios enriched with digital technologies, are carried out collaboratively and result in educational products that are configured in the very resolution of the activity. The results suggest that the educational practices analysed, in fact, involve digital technologies associated with sociocultural praxis since the learning community is the central focus in mobilising the work developed by human actors and reveals the values that influence acting and the pedagogical actions are thought to be developed in an integrated and collaborative way, seeking the creation and development of communities of practice.
