Abstract

NOGUEIRA, Adrinelly Lemes  and  BORGES, Maria Célia. IN-SERVICE CONTINUING TEACHER TRAINING IN A MUNICIPALITY IN TRIÂNGULO MINEIRO. Eccos Rev. Cient. [online]. 2023, n.67, e24329.  Epub Feb 19, 2024. ISSN 1983-9278.  https://doi.org/10.5585/eccos.n67.24329.

This article is an excerpt from a doctoral thesis and discusses the in-service continuing teacher training of Elementary School I teachers from the public network of a municipality in Triângulo Mineiro. It is a qualitative research based on a dialectical approach. Data collection procedures include bibliographic, documentary and field research with online questionnaires as the instruments used. The process of data analysis and interpretation followed the methodological guidelines of Categorization, Inference, Description and Interpretation. It can be concluded that both managers and teachers have a lot to contribute to the development and organization of actions because they are in the classroom on a daily basis and know the needs and shortcomings of public education. Teacher training must be linked to professional development. It should be reiterated that teachers’ demands need to be heard and actions taken in favor of a quality public education.

Keywords : elementary school I; in-service continuing teacher training; teacher training public policies..
