LIMA, Solyane Silveira  and  CABRAL, Anne Emilie Souza. Meetings, minutes and pedagogical practices: the new school conceptions of teachers at Grupo Escolar Manuel Luís. Educação. Santa Maria [online]. 2016, vol.41, n.1, pp.223-236. ISSN 1984-6444.  https://doi.org/10.5902/1984644417624.

During the first decades of the last century ideas of the New School began to be spread in the Brazilian educational context, these ideas came through intellectuals who went to study abroad and brought these concepts to Brazil. These perceptions were appropriated by teachers in schools. This paperwork seeks to analyze the teachers' conceptions of the School Group Manuel Luis, located in the state of Sergipe, Brazil, which was established in 1924 and was intended to form children living in the capital city. At first, it will be demonstrated how was the educational context inSergipe, and then the major discourses present in Pedagogical Meeting held at School Group. Through the analysis of the documents it can be seen that teachers have appropriated some concepts of the New School, developing a school practice guided on this assumption.
