This article is a clipping of the master’s dissertation in education that was based in the analysis of the trajectory of students that attend professionalizing technical education integrated to High School and their school difficulties. For this purpose, the general objective was delimited on the analysis of the path and the perspectives of the students of 1th and 4th year, enrolled in professionalising technical course in federal network schools named Federal Institutes, considering the relation between school education and professional formation. The methodologic path undertaken during the course comprehended a qualitative approach, of documental nature, based on the educational law and institutional documents.The methods utilized are counted with data collection achieved through the analysis of the student performance records, interviews made utilizing a semi-structured survey with the incoming students and the graduating of Technical Course of Informatics integrated to High School and with professors that ministered classes to both courses. The accomplishment of the study provided a reflection concerning the motivation in choosing technical education and the difficulties and obstacles found by students, therefore contributing with a new view regarding education and professional education.
