The polish sociologist Zygmunt Bauman, in the diagnosis of the present constructed throughout his work, analyzed the passage of the society of producers to a model of social relations guided by the logic of consumption. In such a configuration, the consumer becomes the main screen that serves as a value-principle for the institutions and social relations of our time spreading elements like individualism, ephemerality and cost-effective for different fields including education. Based on this premise, this article discusses the formative foundations present in the National Curricular Curricular Base (BNCC) to indicate how these elements materialize an educational project in the Brazilian context. It was noted that the document, to be guided by the concept of competence, it offers segment to the elements already present in the National Curriculum Parameters (PCN), increasing the importance of individual development linked traits the requirements of a work context that constantly changing. It is concluded that, in this context, the transformation of the man into merchandise is expanded at the same time that the place of work being understood as synonymous with employment and income, is minimized, losing its space as an educational principle.
