This article consists of a Master's research clipping that has as problem-question: What characteristics does somebody needs to possess to practice teaching in the five years old children's view? The objective is to analyze the representations that involve who can teach according to children of Kindergarten in a rural environment. The data were produced through projectiveinterviews and “Sandplay”conducted individually with the children-participants. The results revealed that to be a teacher, in the view of these children, it's necessary to be a woman, white, young, with long, straight hair, revealing representations based in women's stereotypes that rules ideas of Brazilian society. We conclude that the reproduction of hegemonic behaviors in school favor the construction of these representations of the children about being a teacher. Fact that can contribute to gender standardization and promote the non-acceptance of the different.
