The article sets up Higher Education impacts in Rural Education in socioeconomic and professional profile of recent graduates (2014-2017). This is a Master’s degree research, of qualitative approach and exploratory type, developed at the Post-Graduate Programme in Education (PPGE), of Universidade Federal da Paraíba (UFPB), financed by CAPES (Coordination for Higher Education Staff Development)The aim is to discuss the formation offered by Pedagogy course- Rural Education widening area, of UFPB, to comprehension of its impacts over graduate lives. The analysis is based on socioeconomic profile data obtained by questionnaire and interviews applied with the research’s subject interlocutors. It rests on the course political-pedagogic project (PPP) directives in view of Cultural Capital Theory (BOURDIEU, 1998), among others bibliographical and documental sources. The results evidences that the graduate socioeconomic profile presents characteristics, which are common to the course investigated, being composed primarily by a female public, self-declared black/brown and of low income. In conclusion, the Pedagogy formation with widening area in Rural Education, generally, presents significant impacts on the graduate profile, such as the academic career continuity, the professional performance applied in the same formation area and the relationship between the theory and practice in keeping with the rural reality. In addition, the course brings new directions to the graduates, leading them to have a world critical view, as in the very Pedagogy based on the Rural Education Project.
