Abstract

DIAS, Alder de Sousa  and  ABREU, Waldir Ferreira de. Decolonial didactic methods in Brazil: a genealogical analysis. Educação. Santa Maria [online]. 2020, vol.45, e41328.  Epub Aug 29, 2023. ISSN 1984-6444.  https://doi.org/10.5902/1984644441328.

This paper makes a genealogy of the decolonial didactic methods in Brazil. It results from a bibliographical research and a documental survey, anchored mainly to Coloniality-Modernity Network and Didactics in Brazil references. The origin of decoloniality as a decolonial reason dates back to the 1950s and is consolidated in 1998. In Brazil, the theses of Oliveira (2010) and Mota Neto were identified as milestones between decoloniality and Pedagogy. (2015). The publication of “Intercultural Critical Didactics: propositions” was chosen as a landmark to precede a didactic didactic in 2012. Lastly, the option for transmodernity is a central design for the constitution of decolonial didactics in Brazil, and it is necessary to decolonize the didactics - a task still to be done.

Keywords : Decolonial didactic methods; Decolonial Pedagogy; Genealogy.
