The present study aims to analyze the school practices of the Ginásio Dom Bosco, a Salesian institution in Campo Grande, in the south of the old Mato Grosso between the years 1937 to 1945, present in the publications of the school newspaper O Ginásio. The temporal delimitation of the research comprises the chronological mark of the editorial action of the Salesian school print. The bibliographic and documentary investigation led to a dialogue with studies in the area of ​​the History of Education and the sub-area of ​​School Leaflets. The analyzes relied on Pierre Bourdieu's theoretical-methodological contribution, in an attempt to achieve an understanding of how the relationship between the school structure and its agents was mentioned, with regard to the production and reproduction of school practices. The results showed that school practices were linked to the development of an education concerned with the integral formation of youth, mainly due to the religious educational model of the Preventive System. The Salesian school press developed as an instrument for pedagogical changes in a period of greater student participation in the educational process. The print emerged, in this scenario, as a school practice in which students, teachers and managers expressed the ideals of the school in sections and columns with emphasis on the educational proposal, its methods, its activities, its desires and its achievements.
