This article presents an analysis of the movie Amor.com, taken as representative of the chapterIndividuality, from the work Liquid Modernity, by Zygmunt Bauman. The analysis was developed as a theoretical study, aiming to be presented in a course taught in the Graduate Program in Education (IFSul), which considered some movies as a potential resource for teaching topics related to liquid modernity, mainly in times of social distance. Amor.com was chosen because it gathers three important theoretical perspectives, which are presented in this article: it can be considered a school of life (MORIN, 2004); it favors na aesthetic experience (NOGUEIRA, 2002), and it also foments the uprising to the pimping behavior of current times (ROLINK, 2019). As analysis methodology, content and textual analyzes were used (PENAFRIA, 2009), through frames chosen. As a result of the analysis, it is clear that the movie can be taken as a metaphor for Bauman’s chapter as it discusses issues such as hyperconnected society, the search for private life counselors, the self metamorphosis into a product and the need to be always in movement in a society driven by consumption.
