Abstract

ARROYO, Miguel Gonzales. Paulo Freire: Another human and childhood paradigm. Educação. Santa Maria [online]. 2023, vol.48, e70037.  Epub June 03, 2025. ISSN 1984-6444.  https://doi.org/10.5902/1984644470037.

The central question of these analyzes - the Other Oppressed Childhoods, resistant to dehumanization as a historical reality, claiming to be human, do they not deconstruct the single hegemonic paradigm of human and childhood? Is the history of childhood not different when the Other oppressed childhoods are recognized as subjects of history? Isn't the history of education, of pedagogy, forced to redefine itself when other oppressed childhoods claim to be subjects of other pedagogies of the oppressed? Questions about oppressed childhoods that instigate Giorgio Agambem in his work Infância História, Philippe Ariès in Social History of Children and Family, Del Priore in History of Children in Brazil. Questions about other oppressed childhoods that instigate Paulo Freire, above all, in Pedagogy of the Oppressed. Questions posed by oppressed childhoods for educational policies, for pedagogical theories and for the invention of teaching-educating identities.

Keywords : Childhood; Kid; Oppressed Childhood; Unique Paradigm; Ontic Myth.
