It deals with the initial training of indigenous teachers, intercultural pedagogy, at the Universidade Estadual do Centro-Oeste (Unicentro). With a specific and differentiated course desenveloped in the Territory Indigenous Rio das Cobras in Paraná. It highlights the public policies of higher education in Brazil and Paraná. It socializes the experience of training of pedagogues indigenous people at Unicentro and analyzes the categories training for current affairs and bilingualism in training. It pursues qualitative research and uses bibliographic and documentary analysis for produce the data. It concludes that there were legal and legislativeachievements in Brazil guided by indigenous peoples. It highlights advances in research and in the theoretical framework of indigenous education. It highligths that the incorporation of training of teachears indigenous truly envolves the indigenous population and its organizations, students ante the university in training. It shows approximations in the concepts of training for today in pedagogy socialism and indigenous bilingualism gestated in school experience, because the context of initial training of teachers requires this training in the contemporary con it highlights challenges such as the training of teacher trainers; the minimal appropriation of indigenous languages bys trainers; the production of their own and specific didactic material; evaluating the role of orality on training; training indigenous masters and doctors to incorporate them into the framework of the university.
