This article presents a case study (conducted during 2009) on risk factors for school failure and early school leavers in a region with specific sociodemographic characteristics (and similar to other regions of Spain). This territory is close to metropolitan area of Barcelona, which has seen their populations increase exponentially in the last decade, leading to new demographic and urban realities. This study is part of a research on the impact of the changes in the socio-educational context. Its goal is to design a proposal for support and improvement of school success in the region.
