This paper aims to stimulate a reflection on the possibilities of using inter-and transdisciplinarity, as an attempt to add to the body of theoretical of Applied Social Sciences in a way to have a better approach of the reality. The use of theoretical psychoanalytic epistemology and seek to bring the concepts of psychoanalysis from the perspective of understanding the human being, as a being with desires and impulses. This study finds space on this work and goes beyond, because we believe that the richness of academic work is precisely the spaces less worked, or perhaps conveniently forgotten by the Applied Social Sciences. Aware of the challenge that this work evokes, we rescued a discussion considered relevant: the possible place of Freudian epistemology at research in organizational studies. Therefore, we sought to develop an analysis of this epistemology, as well as about the nature of research in psychoanalysis in order to demonstrate how it can be articulated in our field of study.
