Abstract

AZZI, Roberta Gurgel; GUERREIRO-CASANOVA, Daniela Couto; DANTAS, Marilda Aparecida  and  BENASSI, Marcos de Toledo. Perceptions of undergraduates and basic education teachers on books and videos prepared from the perspective of Social Cognitive Theory. Contrapontos [online]. 2014, vol.14, n.2, pp.289-305. ISSN 1984-7114.  https://doi.org/10.14210/contrapontos.v14n2.p289-305.

This study evaluates a collection books and short videos about Social Cognitive Theory that were custom-made for this research. The participants were undergraduate students (prospective teachers), teachers and management personnel from public schools. The participants analyzed the materials and answered a series of questionnaires, commenting on the didactic material on the theme, and discussing the importance and relevance of the theoretical basis, and the potential contribution for their professional practice. Data were collected from the participants in person, and remotely. The results can be considered positive, as the majority of the items evaluated obtained high scores of approval. This study opens an important interface, so that contributions based on the theory in focus can also be used in the Brazilian education landscape in a significant way.
