Abstract

MUAMUNUNGA, Aleixo  and  FELICETTI, Vera. INTERNATIONALIZATION OF HIGHER EDUCATION IN BRAZIL AND ANGOLA: A LITERATURE REVIEW. Contrapontos [online]. 2025, vol.25, n.1, pp.1-16.  Epub June 16, 2025. ISSN 1984-7114.  https://doi.org/10.14210/contrapontos.v25n1.p1-16.

This study aims to analyze how the internationalization of Higher Education (HE) is addressed in Brazilian and Angolan journals. The analysis is based on a survey of articles published in the Angolan electronic journal portal Pensador and in Google Scholar. Of the 20 articles selected, the predominant methodology was qualitative, using the discursive textual analysis proposed by Moraes and Galiazzi (2020). The results demonstrate a convergence in the conclusions, indicating the need for a more structured and comprehensive approach to internationalization in Brazilian Higher Education Institutions (HEIs). The study highlights the importance of clear policies and effective organizational strategies, as well as social inclusion and the addressing of challenges such as racism. Equitable international cooperation, focused on scientific and social development, is considered essential. Therefore, it is concluded that there is a lack of efficient institutional policies to promote internationalization in Brazil.
