Abstract

BLANKENHEIM, Thaís; RAMOS, Natacha Führ; PIZZINATO, Adolfo  and  COSTA, Angelo Brandelli. Educational Interventions for learning about Sexuality and Gender in Brazil: a Scoping Review. Psic. da Ed. [online]. 2021, n.53, pp.66-75.  Epub June 24, 2022. ISSN 2175-3520.  https://doi.org/10.23925/2175-3520.2021i53p66-75.

The objective of this article is to map the academic production about interventions in the Brazilian school scene related to sexuality and gender issues. A Scoping Review was performed using search parameters in Scielo, Lilacs, Pepsic e Google Acadêmico databases. Based on this search, we found that the number of published research on the topic has increased from the year 2012; most interventions are targeted at students, especially those in the final years of elementary and high school; the most used methodological delineations are the qualitative ones; critical discourse grounds most of the publications found, followed by liberal and postmodern discourses. It is emphasized the need for investigations from the children's age group, targeting teachers and educators. In addition, studies in the areas of psychology and education should be strengthened to promote the guarantee of rights and quality of life for all people.

Keywords : Sexuality; Gender; Intervention; Education, School.
