Brazilian society is legally inclusive. However, difficulties in putting it into effect appear mainly related to personal interactions. Thus, this study aimed to verify the reconstruction of perception by children without disabilities about the capacity of people with disabilities through dance. For that, a research was developed in three phases: an initial conversation and drawing about dance and people with disabilities by 13 children of the SESC Santana Sport Course, about the person with disability and their possibilities of dancing; an intervention with the children's experience of the Methodology Contact Improvisation, finalized with the interaction with a group of dancers with intellectual and physical disabilities; and a later construction of a new drawing on the same theme. With the data appreciated by content analysis, it was verified that the contact between the children and people with disabilities through the dance contributed to the overcoming of prejudices and the understanding of the potentialities of this population.
