The present article aimed to analyze the production on the teaching of Gymnastics in the classes of Physical Education between the years 2006 and 2016. The methodology used was the systematic review, consolidating a number of 18 articles investigated at the end of the screening. We found the use of different teaching methods, as well as the experience of the circus content and its possible relations with the theme. The studies also highlight the need for training (initial and continued), which is becoming closer to school reality, with discussions about systematization in Gymnastics teaching, based on critical reflections, organizations and data interpretations arising through the practices developed, in order to not to stick to the traditional teaching methodology.
