SOUZA, Maria Thereza Oliveira; VARGAS, Pauline Iglesias  and  CAPRARO, André Mendes. When discussing the articles based on Oral History methodology published in scientific journals of Physical Education, we observed that the forms used to analyze the oral sources were constituted in a differentiated way in relation to what we usually find in other area articles, mainly regarding the conceptual treatment of memory and identity. In order to understand these differences in addition to a brief initial observation, we set the following guiding question: in what way has Oral History methodology been used in scientific articles published in Physical Education journals in Brazil? We conclude that the way of doing research in Oral History in Physical Education has its peculiarities, as a predominance of the crossing of different sources of typologies, the minority of works that present detail of the passage from the oral to the writing and the little methodological treatment of the concepts of memory and identity.
