VAZ JUNIOR, Arnaldo; MOUAD, Mariana; GRUBERTT, Guilherme Alves  and  SERASSUELO JUNIOR, Helio. Physical self-concept in people with disabilities: a systematic review. Rev. Motriviv. [online]. 2020, vol.32, n.61, e60133.  Epub Jan 01, 2020. ISSN 2175-8042.  https://doi.org/10.5007/2175-8042.2020.e60133.

The aim of the study is to systematically review the physical self-concept (ACF) and instruments to analyze this construct in people with disabilities (PCD) adulthood. As methodological procedures, were adopted the recommendations of PRISMA FlowDiagram and classification of articles according to quality criteria adapted from the STROBE instrument. Searches were performed in different databases, covering the entire period of existence of the databases until 2019, reaching the final analysis of the study 11 articles. The results showed that the intellectual disability group had α = 0.67-0.82 and the physical disability group α = 0.64-0.85. In addition, the practice of physical exercises has a direct correlation with the ACF and six instruments of assessment of the ACF in PCD were identified, two validated. It is concluded that the practice of physical exercises is directly related to the ACF and there is a shortage of validated instruments that evaluate the PCD ACF.
