The present study aimed to evaluate in which way an intervention was able to modify the perception of future Physical Education teachers in dealing with themes related to body image in their classes. Participants of the study were 14 undergraduate students in the Physical Education Degree course of the Instituto Federal de Educação, Ciência e Tecnologia do Sudeste de Minas Gerais - Campus Barbacena. The volunteers responded to semi-structured interviews prior to the start and after four meetings, which sought to place the body within the scope of pedagogical practices. Our results pointed out that the participation in the meetings was able to promote changes in the opinion of future teachers regarding the approach to themes related to the body and body image in physical education classes, in the sense of encourage thinking on these themes, expanding access to scientific information and the elaboration of didactic strategies to approach such themes at school.
