GONCALVES, Gabriel Henrique Treter; BULSO, Rodrigo Vieira; FLORIANO, Leandro Teixeira  and  BALBINOTTI, Carlos Adelar Abaide. The aim of this study is to describe and compare the levels of support of pedagogical contents development in soccer and futsal junior competitions according to coaches’ opinions. The Gonçalves-Balbinotti Test Battery for Favoring the Development of Pedagogical Contents in Sports Among Children and Youth (BTGB-CP) was applied. Thirty-two Brazilian soccer (n = 16) and futsal (n = 16) coaches participated in the study. All of them work with children and youngsters who compete in their respective sport. In general, soccer and futsal competitions seem to contribute in a satisfactory way to the development of pedagogical contents: Motor Skills; Strategic-Tactical; Socio-Educational; Autonomy; Affective-social; Democratization. However, the results showed that futsal competitions contemplate the development of pedagogical contents in greater quantity and level when compared to soccer.
