The study discusses the public policies of sport in the State of Para. The objective was to analyze what dimensions of sport are prioritized in the policies of sport in the state government. In this paper, the years 2012 and 2013 were analyzed, in accordance with PPA, early years of management the government of Simão Jatene (2011-2014), period that precedes preparation in the country of sports mega-events, such as the 2014 World Cup and the Olympics in 2016. Methodologically, it is documentary research with analysis of documents like PPA, LOA, and Message to ALEPA. The results suggest a budget execution limiter element for what government called sport for social inclusion, because it presented a higher budget allocation for dimension of high income. Moreover, these indicate a policy aligned to sports field of conservative nature, which serves as a priority sport of representation of government, with emphasis on major sports events.
