The aim of the research was to analyze the possible interference from the institutional context in the learning of basketball coaches, with special attention to the training devices of the workplace. From the view of methodological procedures, we have defined the method of studying multiple cases. The participants were five coaches and two managers, linked to three sports institutions. For data collection, we selected the semi-structured interview technique. For data analysis we chose the content analysis technique. The results revealed three training devices intrinsically linked to socialization in the work context: joint planning between institutions, daily contact between coaches and the development of courses and clinics in the workplace.
