Abstract

ZAMBONI, Kaio Julio; ORDONHES, Mayara Torres; COSTA, Isabelle Plociniak  and  CAVICHIOLLI, Fernando Renato. Public sports policies in urban public spaces: a bibliographic review on sports projects for participation on the Brazilian coast. Rev. Motriviv. [online]. 2021, vol.33, n.64, e80520.  Epub Sep 30, 2021. ISSN 2175-8042.  https://doi.org/10.5007/2175-8042.2021.e80520.

The present study aimed to carry out a bibliographic review on public sports policies related to the practice of participation sports on the Brazilian coast. A literature review was carried out on academic studies published on the Scientific Electronic Library Online (SCIELO) databases and the “Portal de Periódicos da Capes”. After conducting the data survey, the texts were analyzed and grouped according to their similar themes. Thus, six themes were listed: (1) equipment available for sports; (2) programs to encourage participation sports; (3) social inclusion through sport; (4) health promotion; (5) irregular appropriation of private initiative and (6) State action on activities carried out on Brazilian beaches. It can be said that on the Brazilian coast there are many projects, events and activities that encourage the practice of participation sport on the beaches, however, there seems to be little interest from government entities in managing this type of public policy.

Keywords : Physical education; Public policy; Participation sport.
