The theoretical essay is intended to be guided by the challenges encountered by teachers and educational institutions in the process of implementing ICTs at school and in the pedagogical practice of the Physical Education teacher. Considering that understanding how to use them in the educational context and having knowledge of all the support and materials necessary for successful use in class, is a task that must be faced by the entire school community. With support in the literature review, it was possible to verify and bring to the debate the main difficulties of integrating ICTs in the school environment, as well as the need for continued training for the school community, in addition to the importance of implementing public policies aimed at teaching in Physical Education classes.
