Through a bibliographic review, we analysed the security devices that have been applied in Argentine and Colombian football, seeking, with this, to contribute to the advance of the debate on the phenomenon of violence in Latin American football. In conducting such an analysis, we indicated some differences and similarities between these two contexts and showed how such bibliography can contribute to the development of a critical assessment of public policies aimed at the football fan.
