the study investigates the characteristics of economic, social and, above all, sports policy in the first two years of the Bolsonaro government. To this end, a theoretical debate and documentary study were carried out, with analysis of sports legislation and the amount and allocation of federal government resources for sport. It was observed that there were no new orders with a significant impact on the sports field. As for the budget, there should be a decrease of the amount two years in relation to the previous governments and the prioritization of high-performance sports.
