AZAMOR, Cristiany Rocha  e  NAIFF, Luciene Alves Miguez. Representações sociais da avaliação da aprendizagem em professores do ensino público fundamental de Niterói. R. Bras. Est. Pedag. [online]. 2009, vol.90, n.226, pp.650-672. ISSN 2176-6681.

This study investigated social representations of public elementary school teachers of Niterói regarding evaluation of learning. This research was based on a Social Representation Theory, proposed by Serge Moscovici. The study also adopted the structural approach from this theory which was proposed by Jean Claude Abric. In this sense, we observed some elements that appeared as the core of the social representations of 84 teachers from 5 public schools in the municipality of Niterói. The research results suggest that, from the point of view of their social representations, the teachers consider evaluation as something necessary, far away from the idea of promoting, or not, students from a grade school level, but closely related to the idea of reorganising their own practise.
