Abstract

RIBEIRO, Andreia Couto  and  JESUS, Wellington Ferreira de. The evolution of federal resources in the school transportation programs: impacts on basic education. R. Bras. Est. Pedag. [online]. 2014, vol.95, n.241, pp.696-710. ISSN 2176-6681.  https://doi.org/10.1590/S2176-6681/319411943.

The current exploratory study presents the situation of federal public investments towards the school transportation programs maintained by the Federal Government to support basic education. The paper analyzes the budget structure, funding sources, the conditions of implementation of the actions and the expansion of services between the years of 2003 and 2012. In this context, we used document analysis to address whether there was an advance in educational indicators and whether this evolution was due to increasing funding presented in this article. The analysis of data allowed verifying the evolution of financial resources in the school transportation policy, which impact the school life of students of basic education.
