Abstract

SOUZA, Jaqueline Aparecida de  and  PAIXAO, Jairo Antônio da. The practice of good Physical Education teachers from the perspective of high school students. R. Bras. Est. Pedag. [online]. 2015, vol.96, n.243, pp.399-415. ISSN 2176-6681.  https://doi.org/10.1590/S2176-6681/333612962.

The study examined the pedagogical practice of Physical Education teachers, considered good teachers from the perspective of high school students. It was conducted an analysis, based on a field investigation of descriptive and qualitative nature, with a sample group of teachers. It was observed a traditional pattern of teaching in relation to the pedagogical approach adopted, as well as the hegemony of sport content. However, these teachers seek to articulate Physical Education to other subjects in an interdisciplinary work, and also seize the proximity to their students in order to discuss topics related to behavior, ethical values and conduct both in and outside school. Briefly, the evaluative concept of good teacher stems from factors perceived in the teacher's pedagogic practice throughout his/her professional career
