WULF, Christoph. Anthropology: a challenge to education and human development. R. Bras. Est. Pedag. [online]. 2016, vol.97, n.246, pp.241-254. ISSN 2176-6681.  https://doi.org/10.1590/S2176-6681/268330441.

This article is intended as a contribution to the analysis of the relationship between anthropology, education and human development. It develops broad outlines of the concept of historical and cultural anthropology. It no longer seems meaningful to limit anthropology or ethnology. Anthropology includes four paradigms: the process of hominization, the philosophical, the historical and the cultural ones. These paradigms correspond with two contradictory developmental trends in today's globalization. One of which is oriented toward a "uniformizing" globalization, while the other points toward the limits of this development and stresses the conditions of cultural diversity. There is a dual historicity and culturality in anthropology that arises from the historicity and culturality of the different perspectives of anthropological researchers and from the historical and cultural character of the contents and subjects of research. The relationship between single-discipline, interdisciplinary and transdisciplinary research is a fundamental issue in anthropology. While there are many different possible approaches, interdisciplinary and transdisciplinary forms of research are particularly suitable in the field of anthropology.
