On the celebration of the 85th anniversary of the National Institute of Educational Studies and Research Anísio Teixeira, this text aims to emphasize the scientific dissemination of Education, promoted by the journal Revista Brasileira de Estudos Pedagógicos (RBEP). Inaugurated in 1944, this journal publishes, since then, articles, research, and practices brought forth from investigations that aid teacher training and allow researchers to access a varied plethora of academic studies. Through the reassessment of its previous editions and by taking them as historiographic sources/objects, it has been brought to light the paper-printed article that composes the volume 46, number 104, published in 1966, pages 278-287: “O Problema de Formação do Magistério”, by Anísio Teixeira, republished in the same journal, for the importance of its reflections, in 2001 (vol.82. n.200, p.199-206). This text is relevant because it presents a record of the development of the teaching profession and, based on it, an assessment can be made considering some aspects of Gramsci’s point of view on Education.
