Abstract

BARTOCHAK, Ântony Vinícius  and  SANFELICE, Gustavo Roese. Impacts of Pibid's public policies on the formative paths of former scholarship holders: a literature review. R. Bras. Est. Pedag. [online]. 2023, vol.104, e5597.  Epub Oct 27, 2023. ISSN 2176-6681.  https://doi.org/10.24109/2176-6681.rbep.104.5597.

This study focuses on determining the impact of the Institutional Scholarship Program for Teaching Initiation (Pibid) public policy in favor of the formative trajectories of former scholarship holders. A descriptive research, with a qualitative approach of integrative literature review was selected as methodology and achieved through the databases of the Brazilian Digital Library of Theses and Dissertations (BDTD). Analyzing the data, few of theses and dissertations were developed in relation to the impacts on the formative paths of past scholarship recipients after having gone through Pibid. It was concluded that the Program boosted the entry of former scholarship holders in postgraduate courses, enabled the transition from student to teacher, influenced the decision to continue teaching, provided the reflective planning cycles, execution of lesson plans, guidance and attitude towards their pedagogical practices, and the development of their autonomy and identity as teachers. Nevertheless, it was observed that school reality is different from the performance that past scholarship holders experienced at Pibid, in some cases, drastically hampering the dialogue regarding insertion and professional performance with other professors. Additionally, the Program does not always direct the subjects to teaching in basic education since the policies of valuing teaching have not yet changed the attractiveness of the career.
