RORATTO, João Manoel. Posições subjetivistas e objetivistas de ciência: a hermenêutica como fundamento da pesquisa qualitativa. Roteiro. UNOESC [online]. 2010, vol.35, n.01, pp.175-192. ISSN 2177-6059.

This article discusses aspects of recent developments in science, with emphasis on conflict between objectivist and subjectivist positions on science, until the importance of qualitative research in the construction of scientific knowledge at the present time, based on various fields of tradition and lines of thought in social sciences and theoretical formulations on Gadamer’s hermeneutics. In studies of Denzin and Lincoln, examines the relevance of qualitative research in recent times and its methodological form diverse and peculiar to represent the different realities that make up the social universe, and what are the expectations of this type of research continues to affirm as science. In Gadamer, seeks the building process of rhetorical and hermeneutical method to understand and explain social reality, which ontological bases are both in original Plato ideas about discourse and Aristotle on practical philosophy.
