Abstract

A comparative study in our analysis has two intellectuals a concrete historical situation. The first one, in the early ‘60s in Brasilia; and, the second one in the 70 in Mendoza, Argentina. During those years they occupied similar positions: Darcy Ribeiro, president-founder of the University of Brasilia, and Arturo A. Roig, academic secretary of the National University of Cuyo. Departmentalized structures and linked together, the break with the system and the democratic functioning mark the common features of both projects. However, according to the different moments that crossed each one of them, socio-cultural processes and the dynamics involved of subjects were certain aspects of originality.
