This article discusses the social representations of “good” university professor among students of Pedagogy. This is a study guided by the theory of social repre­sentations. The research was qualitative involving 220 students. The data collection instrument was a questionnaire containing a test of free association of words. The words were processed by EVOC. The results pointed to a social representation of “good” teacher-centered practical elements that constitute the conduct of a trader. In this sense, the “good” teacher would be a dedicated professional, responsible, diligent, competent, experienced, ethical, empathetic, wisely, teaching, knowledge and respect students.
