Abstract

This text analyzes the conceptions about teaching Art from the theories of curriculum in terms of contributing to the formation of new identities. Discusses initially teaching Art, their understanding and contribution to the cultural formation process. In the next topic, situates the curriculum as an area of significance and production of identities and the possibilities of the formation of new cultural identities. At the end, describes the contrast between the teaching Art and the construction of new identities, pointing out that the greatest opportunities in this respect within the open teaching conception of Art as knowledge, which is based on the post-critical view of curriculum.
