This article aims to problematize questions related to the High School in Santa Catarina. Above all, it is resorted to statistical information available by Instituto Nacional de Estudos e Pesquisas Educacionais Anísio Teixeira (Inep) to discuss the enrollment composition, educational indicators and the aspects of teaching work in the High School. The goals related with the regular High School are highlighted, as well as the teacher valorization from the Law Project number 8.035, 2010. Empirical data express inadequacy related to the access, rate of grades, infrastructure and professor carrier, and also may contribute in the discussion about regular policies which come to meet the universalization of High School with quality in Santa Catarina.
