Abstract

The goal of this essay was to bring into discussion the large scale evaluation in an analytical perspective that situates its inductive potential of educational qualification. We aimed to attest and problematize the evaluation demanded by the current social project. Next, we brought out conceptual approaches of the large scale evaluation, as well as, its objectives as a public policy. We also attested the characteristics of the large scale evaluations in the basic education after the decade of 1990, and we problematized that the imposition of values from the qualification and the performance compose a single idea, translated as legitimate.
