Resumen

The study analyzed the perceptions of teachers in relation to the evaluation system standardized by the Academy of Military Police (MP), centered on the assessment of learning, aiming to understand innovative features and obstacles in the process. This is a case study consisting of 8 teachers from 103rd Air Education and Training Company of the 10th Battalion of the Military Police of Minas Gerais, in Montes Claros. In the data collection was applied semi-structured interview. Teachers recognize learning assessment as essential to the educational process and develop the traditional way, while a few disagree with the overvaluation of the exams at the expense of formative aspects. Most say that the flexibility of standards would enable autonomy in decision making to enhance learning.
