Abstract

This work is a fragment of a master's research that examined the use of the study diaries within the framework of self-regulation processes. It is a descriptive qualitative research with quantitative analysis. Study participants were 99 students of the 5th year of elementary school. Data was collected through the content of the study diary and the Inventory of Self-Regulation of Learning Processes (ISRLP). The qualitative analysis of the content of the diary revealed the importance of using this instrument, and data from ISRLP instrument indicated that the difference between the pre and post-test is sharp and statistically significant. The results suggest that the time for consolidation of learning self-regulatory strategies is a major factor
