Abstract

FAVERO, Altair Alberto  and  TONIETO, Carina. University teaching and formation of the scientific spirit: an approach from the epistemology of Gaston Bachelard. Roteiro. UNOESC [online]. 2017, vol.42, n.1, pp.155-172. ISSN 2177-6059.  https://doi.org/10.18593/r.v42i1.11554.

In this article a theoretical analysis was carried out through a bibliographic research developed by the University Teaching Research Group, educational poli cies, and expansion of higher education: prospects and challenges at the University of Passo Fundo, located in the City of Passo Fundo, RS State. First, it was briefly reconstructed Bachelard’s epistemological proposal as an attempt to overcome the dualism between realism and rationalism, toward applied rationalism. Afterwards, Bachelard’s arguments about the notion of epistemological obstacle and formation of the scientific spirit were rebuilt. Finally, the implications of Bachelard’s epistemology to rethink some challenges of university teaching were presented.
